Parthenon: Fair speech, the adventures of the sculptures

How did the Parthenon sculptures end up in London and other European cities? What circumstances led to the dismemberment of architectural sculptures of the most important monument of classical antiquity? Is it fair or not to request their return and reunification with those in the Acropolis Museum? Originals and replicas of the Parthenon sculptures, as well as fragments that have already returned narrate their adventures. Following the program, students can try to develop their own argumentation on this critical issue, with the guidance of their teacher in the classroom.

The program is designed and implemented by the Educational Programs Department of the Acropolis Museum.
